| Majorca Bound! ...page 3 Their own Summer Season work commitments meant that Adam and Stephanie were only able to holiday in the months of May and October, and in May 2003 they took sons Shaun and Greg with them for the first time to Magalluf. They also started to take an even greater interest in the local bars, particularly those which featured Live Entertainment, such as Arfurs Bar, run by Arfur, himself an entertainer, The Piano Bar, Brittania Bar, Coach & Horses, Jokers, as well as the many up and around the busy Punta Belena. It became clear that when the resort was quiet, then the only busy bars were those staging Live Entertainment, but with even mediocre entertainers demanding €100 - €200 a night most bars were unable to risk this expence. However if the Goodfellows took a bar this was an expence that they would not have to meet, and the idea started to take on an even more attractive hue. |

| Adam's monthly Live on Stage Magazine had become more and more of an arduous task, and although popular with readers. it was not a financial success, with a great deal of time and effort being spent each month. In November 2002, Adam had started the gargantuan task of creating his own website www.live-on-stage.co.uk and since this had also become very popular, it began to take even more of his precious time, without initially bringing in any further income. In July 2003 Adam announced that the September Magazine would be the final ever issue, and the musical couple started making firm plans to up-sticks and initially at least to take work on Mallorca. The idea was to take their time, have a good look round, sell their own home and maybe after a year or so, hope to find a suitable bar. Whatever happened they were determined not to jump in to something too quickly, or at least that was the plan! | |
